infinite search1969, Miroslav Vitous is 22 and writing this album and recording it with John McLaughlin, Herbie Hancock, Joe Henderson, and Jack DeJohnette. All of my favorites on their respected instruments, where is the catch?! Turns out there is none; this sound is spot on. The opener, Freedom Jazz Dance, is composed by Eddie Harris, surprisingly. I Will Tell Him on You is the highlight; nice nervous drums by DeJohnette. You can almost hear the conception of Fusion here. Now I’m curious of the difference between this album and Mountain in the Clouds; same songs, but in a different order, and almost the same line-up.
